As the name suggests, the SUMO olla is the largest of our plug-in ollas, making it ideal for large plant pots with a diameter of 25 cm or more. Simply insert it into the soil, fill it with water, and it will take over the natural watering of your plants.

Our SUMO ollas are specially designed for larger planters – ideal for pots with a diameter of approximately 25 cm or more, large houseplants, raised beds, or balcony troughs. They are simply placed in the soil next to the plant and filled with water.natural porosity of the clayIt releases water slowly and evenly into the surrounding soil – and only when the soil is dry. The roots get exactly what they need.

No overwatering, no wet leaves, no drying out of the soil – your plant takes care of itself. This is especially useful for large houseplants, balcony plants, or vegetables in raised beds – or if you're away for two weeks in the summer and still want strong, healthy plants.

Tip for maximum watering time:For the longest possible autonomy, water the entire pot or bed thoroughly before leaving – not just the olla. This way, the stored water in the substrate is used first before the olla becomes active. Fill the SUMO olla completely immediately before leaving.

It’s best to test the principle in advance:This is how you can find out how long your plants can survive with a filled SUMO under real-life conditions – depending on location, container size and weather.

A notice:Not frost-proof. If you use your ollas outdoors, please bring them indoors before the first frost – sub-zero temperatures can damage the clay.
