Bring the circular economy to life at your school! Worm composting is an ideal starting point for overcoming many current challenges - it enables access to and experience of complex processes.

Simon Peter, Primarschule Zeihen (AG)

Claudia Kyburz, Primarschule Othmarsingen

Ecofiltro – FAQs

How effective is Ecofiltro?
We ensure Ecofiltro’s effectiveness through regular analyses of water treated by our filters in professional laboratories. These analyses guarantee a healthy and safe solution for human consumption. More information: Filtration Effectiveness – Ecofiltro Europe.
Which contaminants are reduced?
Ecofiltro’s filter uses three 100% natural materials: clay, activated carbon and colloidal silver. This unique combination removes most potential contaminants while preserving essential minerals:
  • Parasites
  • Bacteria (including E. coli)
  • Pesticides
  • Microplastics
In addition, Ecofiltro shows very high reduction rates for:
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOC)
  • Limescale
  • Iron
  • Aluminium
  • Lead
  • Fluoride
  • Arsenic
  • Chlorine
Learn more: FAQ & Effectiveness – Ecofiltro Europe.
Is filtered water safe for babies?
Yes, the filtration values are suitable for food preparation and drinking. Always follow local guidance.
Can I use hot water?
No. Hot water may damage the filter unit. Use cold or lukewarm water only.
Why is the initial flow slow?
New filters need time: ~1–2 glasses/hour at first, later up to ~1 L/hour.
Clay taste at the beginning?
A slight clay note is normal and fades quickly. Pre-filter more water during first weeks.
Care & maintenance
Clean every 6 months (no soap/ chlorine; soft sponge). Replace the filter unit after ~2 years. More info: Installation  |  Maintenance Guide.
